PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Lawton Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on a proposed Zoning Ordinance Moratorium to receive comments on a proposed ordinance authorizing the Village Council to approve a temporary moratorium on the issuance of any zoning approval, rezoning, permits, licenses or other approvals of any commercial development within the Village as required by the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 7:00pm at Village Hall.
All interested parties are invited to attend and present comments and suggestion. Written comments may also be submitted to Lawton Village Clerk, PO BOX 367, Lawton, MI 49065.
The Planning Commission reserves the right to modify any provisions of the proposed ordinance at or following the hearing and make recommendations to the Village Council accordingly.
